Plastic toy machine gun with sound; army green/camouflage motif; item no. K8351; UPC# 061541083518.

Hazard identified

Testing by Health Canada revealed that the surface paint on the toy machine gun contains lead in the excess of the allowable limit. Lead is toxic if ingested by young children and can cause adverse health effects.

Health Canada has not received reports of illness or injury to Canadians related to the use of this toy.

Number sold

Approximately 4,400 of the recalled toys were sold in Canada.

Time period sold

The toys were sold from June 2007 to July 2008 at dollar stores nationwide.
