Product description
This recall involves a Tooluxe 135 Amp Flux/Mig welder, Tweco style. The body of the recalled welder is blue and black. The recalled product has the following features:
- Tweco Compatible Torch
- Extra Long 8' Torch Cable and 4.5' Gas Nose
- 115V~60Hz
- Range of Current: 25-135 Amp
- Input Capacity: 3KVA
- Fuse: 25A
Hazard identified
The recalled devices are not certified to Canadian standards and have not been evaluated for safety hazards. The lamps may pose a safety hazard to consumers.
ESA has received one report where unapproved welder caught fire, with no reported injuries or damage.
Health Canada has not received any reports of incidents or injuries related to the use of these welders.

Approximately 6 of the recalled products were sold by DIY Tools in Canada.
Time period sold
The recalled welders were sold from April 2009 to November 2009.
