Product description
This recall involves only the following specific models of pendant-style ceiling mounted indoor light fixtures: P3601-09, P3602-09, P3603-09, P3603-09EXP, P3685-09, P3685-09EXP, P4260-09, P4261-09, P4261-09EXP and P4262-09.
The product number is located inside the canopy located flush with the ceiling.
The fixtures have frosted white glass and a brushed aluminum finish.
Hazard identified
The hang-straight ceiling mount assembly that supports the light fixture (and which makes it easier to install the fixture on a ceiling that is not horizontally level) may fail, causing the fixture to unexpectedly fall from ceiling and injure consumers.
The company, Progress Lighting, has received three reports of fixtures failing. There have been no reports of any injuries relating to this issue.
Health Canada has not received reports of incidents or injuries to Canadians related to the use of these light fixtures.
Number sold
The company, Progress Lighting, has distributed approximately 386 affected units in Canada, including approximately 92 units in Ontario.
Time period sold
The light fixtures were distributed from January 2005 to May 2008.
Place of origin
Manufactured in China.

Consumers should carefully remove the glass from the fixture.
