Product description
The writing instruments, which featured a variety of different designs, were identified on packaging as "Flower Writer", "Christmas Writer", "Easter Writer" and "Spooky Writer".
The following seasonal writing pens are included in the recall. The SKU numbers can be located on the products' packaging above the barcode:

Hazard identified
Surface paint on the pens contains lead. Lead is toxic if ingested by young children and can cause adverse health effects.
Health Canada has not received reports of illness or injury to Canadians related to the use of these products.

Time period sold
The recalled seasonal writing pens were sold by Michaels Stores in the U.S. and Canada from August 2007 to March 2008 for approximately $1.00 each.
