Product description

This recall involves two models of tin Pop Pop toy boats.The models included in the recall are the 33 centimeters (13 inches) long "Titanic" and "Hut" Pop Pop boats.

Hazard identified

The paint on the recalled toy boats contains excessive levels of lead. Lead is toxic if ingested by young children and can cause adverse health effects.

Health Canada has not received reports of illness or injury to Canadians related to the use of these toy boats.

Number sold

The number of the recalled boats sold in Canada is not known.

Time period sold

The boats were mainly sold from April 2007 to November 2007 to individuals via the Internet.

What you should do

Consumers should immediately take the recalled toys away from children and safely dispose of it in regular household trash.
