Product description
This recall involves the Playgro™ Toy Box Musical Pullstring, which is an infant toy intended to be attached to a crib or similar structure. The toy consists of two stuffed characters in vibrant colours. Pulling on the lower character on the string activates a melody and turns a propeller. The recall involves only Playgro™ Toy Box Musical Pullstring Model #101144, with either PO #28997 or PO #27082 marked on a white tag attached to the back of the toy.
Hazard identified
The propeller on the toy can detach and expose small parts which pose a choking hazard to young children.
Health Canada has not received any reports of incidents or injuries to Canadians related to the use of the recalled toy.
Number sold
Approximately 6,950 units of the recalled toy were sold across Canada at major and independent retailers.
Time period sold
The recalled toy was sold from August 2007 to November 2008.
Place of origin
Manufactured in China.
