- Beef flavour toothpaste with toothbrush kit (1.4 oz); UPC 721343128151.
- Mint flavour toothpaste with toothbrush kit (1.4 oz): UPC 721343128564.
Hazard identified
Testing revealed high levels of diethylene glycol detected in some of the toothpaste sampled.
Diethylene glycol may cause headaches and illness, or in high doses, renal failure or death. The company has received no reports of any illnesses associated with use of this product.
Only one product, which comes in two flavours, is affected.
Number sold
546 units were sold in Canada.
Time period sold
The recalled products were sold between October 2006 and October 2007.
