This recall involves the novelty decoration product, Party Blast Silly String. It is sold in a 3 ounce container with UPC # 00724328796505.

Hazard identified

Health Canada has established that the silly string does not have all of the mandatory labelling required under Canadian law.

The recalled silly string lacks the symbols and warnings required for explosive products. The lack of labelling information and warnings could lead to serious injury.

Health Canada has not received any reports of incidents or injuries to Canadians related to the use of this silly string.

Number sold

Approximately 2,287 containers of the recalled silly string were sold in Canada.

Time period sold

The recalled products were sold from August 2008 to September 2008 at Michaels Stores across Canada.

Place of origin

Manufactured in China.
