Product description
The recalled paint solvent MF-SOL 450 is sold in 3.78L clear plastic bottles. The paint solvent is used to clean hardwood floors, grease spots and paint brushes.
Hazard identified
Health Canada's auditing process revealed the paint solvent is not packaged in a child-resistant container as required under Canadian law.
The lack of a child-resistant container could potentially result in misuse of this product and lead to serious injury.
Health Canada has not received any reports of incidents or injuries to Canadians related to the use of this paint solvent.
Number sold
Approximately 100 bottles of the paint solvent were sold in Canada.
Time period sold
The paint solvent was sold from June 2008 until August 2008 at various retail stores in Quebec and Ontario.
