Product description
This recall involves the Otter Medium Cabin Ice Fishing Tent (model year 2007) with:
- Model # 2233 (Green) / UPC # 609142022330
- Model # 2232 (Purple) / UPC # 609142022323.
The model number is located on the product box label and on a label next to the door on the outside of the canvas.
Hazard identified
Health Canada's auditing process revealed the materials used in these ice fishing tents do not meet the requirements for tent flammability under Canadian law.
The ice fishing tents also lack accurate warnings required for flammable products. Inaccurate warnings may result in misuse of this product and lead to serious injury.
Health Canada has not received reports of incidents or injuries to Canadians related to the use of these ice fishing tents.
Number sold
Approximately 22 of the recalled ice fishing tents were distributed in Canada.
Time period sold
The recalled ice fishing tents were sold from June 2007 to April 2008 at retail stores in Ontario and Saskatchewan.
Place of origin
Manufactured in China.
