Product description

This recall involves "Make-It Special" Pewter Embellishments (item # 02-0201860). The item number can be found on the front of the package.

The embellishment package contains 6 grey disks with words on them such as: "hug", "look" and "laugh". The disks are approximately 2 centimetres (3/4 inches) in diameter and are marketed for use in making scrapbooks.

Hazard identified

Testing by Health Canada revealed that the disks contain very high levels of lead. Lead is toxic if ingested by young children and can cause adverse health effects. Anyone swallowing one of the disks is at high risk of severe, or even fatal lead poisoning.

Health Canada has not received reports of illness or incidents related to the use of these items.
