Product description
The baby slippers are made of leather; model number BAS 306B.
One slipper is blue and has a small green car stitched on the front of the slipper; the green car has the letter "m" stitched in its centre.
The slipper for the other foot is blue and has a blue car stitched on the front of the slipper; the blue car has the letter "s" stitched in its centre.
Hazard identified
An investigation by Health Canada has revealed that the circular piece of leather surrounding the letters "s" and "m" stitched in the centre of the car on the front of the slippers may become detached if the child chews on it, posing a choking hazard to young children.
Health Canada has received a report of a child choking on the piece of leather surrounding one of the letters after that segment of the slipper became detached. No injuries were reported as a result.
Number sold
Approximately 500 pairs of the recalled baby slippers were sold in Canada.
Time period sold
The slippers were sold at Souris Mini stores over the last year.

What you should do
Consumers are advised to take the slippers away from children and not to permit children to wear them.
Consumers may exchange the slippers at any Souris Mini store for a product of equal value or for a $25 Souris Mini gift certificate.
