Product description
This recall involves poly-stone bookends painted and shaped in the characters of the Harry Potter book series. Bookend characters include Harry Potter, Hedwig, Hermione and Crookshank.
Hazard identified
The paint on the bookends contains high levels of lead. Lead is toxic if ingested by young children and can cause adverse health effects.
Health Canada has not received reports of illness to Canadians related to the use of these recalled products.

Number sold
Approximately 420 of the recalled bookends were sold in Canada.
Time period sold
The recalled bookends were sold from June 2004 through January 2006 by Dieleman Fundraising and Thirdwave Fundraising who distributed the product in Canada.
Place of origin
