Product description
Surface paints on the puppet theater's wooden panels contain excessive levels of lead, violating the federal lead paint standard.

Hazard identified
Surface paints on the recalled products contain lead. Lead is toxic if ingested by young children and can cause adverse health effects. There have been no reported injuries.
Number sold
Only 302 units of these products were sold in Canada of which 285 were sold to Scholastic Canada Ltd. in Markham, Ontario.
Time period sold
Specialty toy stores, gift shops, catalogs and Web sites nationwide from June 2006 through August 2007 for about $90.
