Product description
This recall involves EvenFlo Majestic™ high chairs made before January 23, 2007. The model numbers affected by this recall are: 3001395, 3001713, 3001719CA, 3001733 and 3002633A.
The model number and production date can be found on a white label on the seatback. "Evenflo" is printed on the label and on the push button on the front of the tray.
Hazard identified
Plastic caps and metal screws on both sides of the high chair can loosen and fall out, posing both fall and choking hazards to children.
EvenFlo has received 143 reports of incidents, with 8 incidents resulting in injuries, related to the use of these high chairs by Canadians.
Health Canada has received 2 reports of incidents, with 1 incident resulting in minor injury, related to the use of these high chairs by Canadians.
Number sold
6,397 of the recalled high chairs were sold at various retail stores in Canada.
Time period sold
The recalled high chairs were sold from January 2006 to May 2007.
