Product description
Child restraint systems and booster seats including, but not restricted to, models by Evenflo, Cosco, Eddie Bauer, Safety 1st, and Graco.
Affected models and model numbers are unknown.
Hazard identified
Transport Canada advises that Liquidation World Inc. was importing and selling child restraint systems and booster seats from the United States that did not comply with applicable Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standards.
Transport Canada cannot comment as to the performance of these restraints in the event of a motor vehicle collision.
The use of these restraints in a motor vehicle would be considered illegal under provincial and territorial highway regulations.
Number sold
Approximately 145 non-complying units were sold in Canada.
The affected products were sold at Liquidation World retail stores in Alberta, British Columbia, New Brunswick, and Ontario.
Time period sold
The time period during which the products were sold is not known.
