Product description
Rectangular stainless steel fryer with black plastic base and lid (lid with glass window); Model F1053B.
Hazard identified
The unit may overheat, causing the plastic base to melt and damage counter-top surfaces.
There have been several reports of melting of the plastic base and heat discolouration to counter-top surfaces. No injuries have been reported.
Health Canada has not received any reports of incidents or injuries related to the use of this product.
Number sold
Approximately 37,771 units were sold in Canada; including 15,100 units which were sold in Ontario.
Time period sold
The product was sold exclusively at Canadian Tire stores nationwide.
Place of origin
Manufactured in China.
