Product description
The recalled Quick Tan tanning mist is an ultra bronzing self-tanner that is sold in a copper coloured 170 g (6 oz.) pressurized container with the following UPC code: 653619206532.
Hazard identified
Health Canada's auditing process revealed the Quick Tan tanning mist does not have mandatory labelling required under Canadian law.
The Quick Tan tanning mist lacks the symbol and warnings required for potentially flammable and explosive products. The lack of labelling information including appropriate warnings could potentially result in misuse of this product and lead to serious injury.
Health Canada has not received reports of incidents or injuries to Canadians related to the use of this Quick Tan product.
Number sold
Approximately 195 of the recalled Quick Tan tanning mist were sold in Canada.
Time period sold
The product was sold from May 2007 until August 2008 at various retail stores in Quebec.
