Product description
Various deodorants in pressurized containers are being recalled:
- Printil Fraîcheur Sport - 200mL black container; item # 25017; UPC 5410103715513
- Printil For Men - 200mL green container; item # 25017; UPC 5410103381411
- Printil Fraîcheur Tonique - 200mL blue container; item # 25017; UPC 5410103315010
Hazard identified
Health Canada's auditing process revealed deodorants do not have mandatory labelling required under Canadian law.
The deodorants lack the symbol and warnings required for potentially flammable and explosive products. The lack of labelling information including appropriate warnings could potentially result in misuse of these products and lead to serious injury.
Health Canada has not received reports of incidents or injuries to Canadians related to the use of these deodorants.
Number sold
Approximately 1,680 of the deodorants were sold in Canada.
Time period sold
The products were sold from November 2007 to August 2008 at various retailers in Quebec and one retailer in Ottawa.
