AC wall plug adapters included in Apple World Travel Adapter Kit
This recall involves AC wall plug adapters included in Apple World Travel Adapter Kit. The Apple World Travel Adapter Kit consists of several AC wall plug adapters for use in various regions around the world. The affected AC wall plug adapters are designed for use in Continental Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Argentina, Korea, and Brazil. The wall plug adapters slide onto the Apple power adapter used to charge MacBook computers and certain iOS devices.
The affected wall plug adapters may break, posing an electrical shock hazard to consumers.
Neither Health Canada nor Apple Inc. has received any reports of consumer incidents or injuries related to this product in Canada or in the United States.
Approximately 80,628 units were sold in Canada and 814,273 units in the United States.
Time period sold
The Apple World Travel Adapter Kits that included the affected wall plug adapters were sold from January 2003 to January 2015.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled units and contact Apple for free replacement adapters.
