Product description

This recall involves the Aluminum and Chrome Polish used on cars and distributed under the two following brand names:

"Alu Buff" sold under the brand name Auto-Chem Inc. in a 250 mL white plastic bottle with a white cap and can be identified by the product number 607-008 and the UPC 2710860708.

"Aqua Chrome" sold under the brand name AquaPro in a 500 mL white plastic bottle with a white cap and can be identified by the product number 8060 and the UPC 2710808060.

Hazard identified

Health Canada's auditing process has revealed that these products do not meet the mandatory warning labelling and child-resistant container requirements, as required under Canadian law.

The container is not child-resistant and is missing hazard labelling explaining how to safely use the product. These omissions present a risk that can result in serious and irreversible harm.

Health Canada has not received any reports of incidents or illnesses related to the use of these products.

Approximately 4,569 of the recalled products were sold at different retail stores in Canada.

Time period sold

The recalled products were sold from January 2009 to September 2010.
