Joint recall with Health Canada, the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (US CPSC) and Air King Limited (Canada)
Wall Anchors supplied with Air King Valencia Range Hoods
This recall involves the wall anchors supplied with Air King Valencia 30" and 36" wall mounted range hoods manufactured from 2009 to 2018. This recall is only for the VAL and ESVAL series hoods manufactured in the United States.
If installed using the supplied wall anchors, and not secured to a wall stud, the range hood may pull away from the wall, posing an injury hazard.
As of January 24, 2019, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada. In the United States, the company has received one report of minor property damage to the cook top and no report of injuries.
Approximately 3,241 units of the affected products were sold in Canada and approximately 5,000 units were sold in the United States.

The affected products were sold in Canada and the United States from January 2009 to December 2018.
