Product description
This recall involves the Aim 'n Flame multi-purpose lighter by Tokai of Canada Ltd. The recalled lighter has a red plastic handle with a rectangular black metal barrel. The words "Aim 'n Flame" are stamped on the barrel. There is also a warning label on the handle that reads "Tokai of Canada LTD. Markham ONT L3R 921 Made in Mexico".
The recalled lighter can be identified by the product number HF12CR-C, which is written on the product packaging.
This recall does not include any other Tokai multi-purpose lighter.
Hazard identified
Testing by Health Canada of these utility lighters has revealed that they may pose a burn risk to users because the flame is too high.
Neither Tokai of Canada nor Health Canada have received reports of injuries or incidents as related to the use of these lighters.

Approximately 74,060 units of the recalled lighters were sold at discount, convenience, grocery, and drug stores across Canada.
Time period sold
The recalled products were sold from September 2005 to December 2009.
