Product description
The product Thursday Plantation Tea Tree Mouthwash is packaged in a clear plastic 250mL bottle with a green and white label. The batch number affected by this recall is Batch # 10952 and the UPC is 717554080579. Please note that no other batch of this product is affected by the recall. The batch number is displayed adjacent to the bar code on the product label.
Hazard identified
The recalled product is contaminated with the bacteria Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Pseudomonas species can enter the body through cuts and lesions and may cause local infections in people with weakened immune systems.
Neither the company nor Health Canada has received any reports of consumer incidents or injuries related to the use of this product.
Number sold
Approximately 155 units were sold in Canada.
Time period sold
The recalled products were sold at various retailers across Canada between February 6, 2014 and April 4, 2014.
