Product description
This recall involves 5.11 Tactical® folding knives with style number 51041019. The knife has a black handle with a pocket clip and are approximately 13 centimetres (5 inches) in length when closed and 20 centimetres (7 ¾ inches) in length when the blade is open.
Hazard identified
The knife can fail to lock into its open position, posing a cutting hazard to consumers.
Health Canada has not received any reports of incidents or injuries related to the use of these knives.
Number sold
Approximately 780 of the recalled knives were sold across Canada.
Time period sold
The recalled products were distributed as free promotional items from September 2009 to November 2009.
Place of origin
Manufactured in China.
