Product description

This recall involves All-Clad 4-square Belgian waffle makers, which are electric and have a stainless steel exterior. The recalled product can be identified by reference number WD700462 and a 4-digit manufacture date code that ends in "08". The reference number and date code can be found on a white label on the bottom of the waffle maker.

Hazard identified

The wiring inside the waffle maker can be damaged and may contact the metal body, posing a shock or fire hazard to users.

Outside of Canada, there have been 23 reports made to All-Clad of waffle makers emitting sparks, with no reported injuries.

Neither All-Clad nor Health Canada has received any reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.

Number sold

Approximately 787 of the recalled products were sold in Canada.

Time period sold

The recalled products were sold from March 2008 through January 2009.

Place of origin

Manufactured in China.
