3M Scotch™ Brand TL901C-T Thermal Laminator
This recall involves the 3M Scotch™ Brand Thermal Laminator, Model number TL901C-T, UPC 00076308721831. The laminator is designed for use with thermal laminating pouches for laminating paper or flat paper-like items between two film layers. The affected laminator is white with teal accents. The word "Scotch" is printed in gray on the front of the laminator.
The model number is printed as TL901-C on a sticker on the bottom of the laminator. Any ScotchTM Thermal Laminator that does not have teal accents is not affected by this recall.
The plastic housing on the bottom of the product may become overheated, causing the housing to deform. The deformed plastic may pose a potential risk of burn if the product were to be touched on the bottom at the time of overheating.
As of March 7, 2018, the company has received no reports of incidents in Canada, and no reports of injuries. In the United States, the company has received 10 reports of incidents and no reports of injuries.
Approximately 126 units of the affected products were sold in Canada and approximately 286,000 were sold in the United States.

The products were sold at Amazon.ca in Canada from November 2017 to February 26, 2018.

What you should do
Consumers should immediately stop using the product and contact 3M Canada to arrange to return the product in exchange for a full refund. Consumers will be provided with instructions for postage-paid shipping in order to facilitate return of the product to 3M Canada.
