Product description

This recall involves 2009 model Cannondale road bicycles that have "Six" printed on the bicycle's top tube and "Cannondale" written on the down tube. These bicycles are missing spoke protector discs.

Hazard identified

The missing spoke protector discs may cause the bicycle chain to interfere or suddenly stop the wheel, posing a fall hazard to the user.

Neither Cannondale nor Health Canada has received any reports of incidents or injuries to Canadians related to the use of these recalled bicycles.

Number sold

Approximately 160 of the recalled products were distributed to various bicycle and sporting goods stores in Canada.

Time period sold

The recalled products were distributed from October 2008 to February 2009.

Place of origin

Manufactured in Taiwan.
