Product description

This recall involves all 2007/2008 Felt F1X Cyclocross Bicycles. These bicycles are available in semimatte black colour and have aluminum frames with carbon fibre forks with aluminum steerer tubes.

Hazard identified

The bicycle's fork steerer tube can break, causing the rider to lose control and fall, posing a risk of injury.

Felt Bicycles, the U.S. Importer, has received six reports of the bicycle forks breaking, including two reports of minor cuts and scrapes.

Health Canada has not received any reports of incidents or injuries to Canadians related to the use of these bicycles.

Number sold

Approximately 15 units of the recalled products were sold at independent bicycle dealers in Canada.

Time period sold

The recalled products were sold from July 2006 to August 2009.

Place of origin

Manufactured in Taiwan.
