Product description
This recall involves 4" square glass vases sold at Michaels stores. The vases are 20" or 51 cm tall and can be identified by UPC 037916889603.
Hazard identified
The glass in the middle of the vase is too thin and can break easily when it is being held by an individual; this poses a laceration hazard.
Michaels Stores Inc. has received 9 reports of lacerations to the area between the thumb and forefinger, including 2 reports from Canada.
Health Canada has not received any reports of incidents or injuries related to the use of these vases.
Number sold
Approximately 9000 vases have been sold at Michaels stores in Canada and approximately 203,000 vases were distributed in the United States.
Time period sold
The recalled products were sold from July 2006 to March 2010 in Canada and in the United States.
Place of origin
Manufactured in China.
