Product description
This recall involves 15-watt fluorescent undercabinet lights that were sold to retailers across Canada under the UL label file E203660 and with date code 09 08. Recalled lights have the model number 28002 and factory ID: RGH(IX) written on a label on the underside of the unit.
This recall does not include lights sold under any other UL label file and date code.
Hazard identified
Once installed, a few of the light fixtures have been found to lead to a build-up of heat.
Globe Electric Company Inc. has received reports of 3 incidents, with no injuries or damage.
Health Canada has not received any reports of incidents or injuries related to the use of these lights.
Number sold
Approximately 8,100 units of the recalled lights were sold at various retailers across Canada.
Time period sold
The recalled products were sold from March 2008 to June 2008.
Place of origin
Manufactured in China.
